The purpose of the ice storage installation is to produce the cold energy when conditions are favourable, and to benefit from it when we need it. An important feature of the ice storage installation is the reduction of the peak-hour electrical load and production of cold energy when electricity is cheap. Ice storages are essential when there is a sudden and large cooling demand.
